My Skin Type:

Oily and acne prone skin.

Ingredients:

Purified Water, Glycerine, Carbopol 940, Sodium Hydroxide, Lactic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Propyl Vinyl Pyrolidine, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Clove Oil, Patchouli Oil, Cinnamon Oil, Allantoin, Orange Oil, Disodium EDTA.

Price:

Rs 225 for 100ml.

Product Claim & Swatch:

Pro’s:

1)It contains Lactic acid and Allantoin.

2)It might help mild acne and normal skin types.

3)It comes in a gel base.

4)Surprisingly this one product does not contain parabens.

Con’s:

1)It contains oils which are mildly comedogenic.Especially Clove and Cinnamon oil can irritate the skin.

2)It stings a lot for few minutes.

3)It is not suitable for sensitive skin.

4)Tub packaging is unhygienic.

5)For a company which claims,it is herbal is loaded with chemicals and artificial preservatives.

6)It broke me out.

7)Very strong clove and cinnamon fragrance.

Directions for use:

Apply the gel on cleansed face,leave it for 10 minutes.Rinse it water.

Final Verdict:

By now it is obvious I do not like Fabindia cosmetics as they do not suit my skin.This Clove gel face pack is no exception either,it did nothing.It does not contain major comedogenic ingredients like Isopropyl Palmitate etc but still I do not prefers products with any kinds of oils.These oils can still clog pores and cause breakouts as it did in my case.So will I recommend this product-The answer is no!There are definitely more and effective products available in the market for acne.
