One of my readers Sangu complains to me I don’t write much about foot care products or posts. She often gives me some nice post concepts so today I decided to take a break from my routine posts and share my foot care tips for healthy and happy feet.
Gone are the days when I used to get a regular pedicure done at salons/parlors, nowadays nobody has the time to get it done. So I came with simple tips to care for my feet at home. Read along to find out more about it.
1)Wash Your Feet:
This is the first step to any skin/body routine.Always wash your feet with soap the moment you arrive at home and before you go to bed.I use my Fiama Di Wills Shower Gel to wash my feet thoroughly.Remember to dry your feet completely with a clean towel as you don’t want to risk any infections.
Once in a week exfoliate your feet using Foot Scrub. They are affordable foot scrubs like Scholl Rough Skin Remover, Oriflame Foot Scrub,Khadi Foot Scrub which you can buy them online.
3)Pamper Your Feet:
- Soak your feet in a tub of lukewarm water, salt, lemon, foot soak or shower gel for 10 minutes.
- Use a Foot File/Calluses Removal File or Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Electronic Foot File to remove dead skin cells, calluses.
- These steps removes dead skin cells, calluses and smoothens the feet.Scholl has completely foot care range which is available on Amazon.
Always use a good moisturiser or a foot cream before going to bed like Scholl Foot and Heel Repair Cream, Ranbaxy Xerina Foot Cream, Aroma Magic Camphor Foot Cream, Himalaya Herbals Foot Cream. You can also wear socks after you moisturise to lock in the moisture and for intensive hydration. This will also take care of cracked heels.
5)Ditch those shoes and heels:
If you are one of those who wears sandals or heels most of the time then you need to air your feet and opt for flip-flops once in a while so that your feet also can breathe and get rid of any foot odour. You can apply a little bit talcum powder to absorb any sweat or odour.
6)Treat Your Feet Right:
Avoid standing in water logged areas and harsh detergents while doing chores as damage the feet.Avoid walking bare foot and wear flip-flops inside your home.
7)Trim Your Nails:
It is important to trim your nails regularly to avoid accumulation of dirt and prevent infections.Apply a nail cream like Scholl Hand & Nail Cream, Oriflame Hand & Nail Cream to moisturise and soften the nails.Give a break from nail polishes and nail polish removers once in a while so that nails too can recuperate.
